Waterleaf Restaurant

I took some portraits of Executive Chef Nadia Tilkian of Waterleaf Restaurant. I also took photos of their menu items, but I thought I shouldn’t torture you with more images of delicious looking food.

Ribfest Roundup

Naperville Ribfest was great this year. The weather was perfect, and judging by the size of the crowds I imagine that the Exchange Club raised a ton of money. I sure hope that is the case.
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Lynyrd Skynyrd put on a good show on the last night to close out the event.

I must have photographed 7th Heaven dozens of times over the years (below). They always get the crowd going and know how to pose for the cameras in the press pit.
7th Heaven
I don’t usually take as many carnival ride photos as I did this time. But the great temps and happy people made it irresistible.

I was talked into going on some of the rides on the last day. I don’t think I was as freaked out as those two girls… but I was a little dizzy towards the end.

The past three years I’ve gotten some aerial photos of the festival grounds. This year’s method of transport was a helicopter. Next year I’m hoping for a hot-air balloon. I’ve never been in one of those.

College of DuPage Article

College of DuPage recently wrote about how two photographers with ties to their program have covered the Space Shuttle missions over the years. They interviewed me, and also photographer and instructor Frank Jackowiak. Frank manages the program at CoD, and he’s covered around 40 launches. They missed the contributions by the amazingly organized Cathy Brinkworth… but that’s a whole other story. You can read the entire article here:
