Johannesburg was the last stop on a three month project that had me in a state of almost constant jet-lag. But it was worth it to see some of the places around the world that I’ve never been to before. The trip back from South Africa was a rough one. The first leg of the flight was 17 hours. I didn’t know a plane could stay in the air that long. There’s nothing like checking the flight status after eight hours and realizing that you’re not even half-way there. After the second leg, I made it back to Chicago and had to rush off to another job for the Bar Association. I was a little groggy but managed to survive before heading home to pass out.
